Record turnout for LFIS & QMI Hackathon, this year in partnership with French fintech SESAMm
We are now one week away from gathering 85 students from top universities to compete in this year’s Hackathon on the theme of artificial intelligence and machine learning for asset management.
The Hackathon will take place at the university Paris Dauphine on February 28 and 29, 2020, and will gather 85 students (18% women) from 25 leading institutions. In total 39 teams will tackle a specific challenge (to be revealed in real time) on the theme of applying artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches to an asset management problem. The winner will receive a 2,000€ cash prize.
The Hackathon is part of a multi-year research partnership between LFIS & QMI focused on bringing quantitative research to life in an asset management setting. It is the 2nd such event that LFIS & QMI have hosted.
LFIS is likewise engaged in a long-standing collaboration with Paris-based fintech SESAMm, looking at using machine learning models and big data approaches to improve investment processes.
